This time, for our fantastic Business Partner (an international software company developing own SaaS products available globally) we are recruiting for the position of:
Head of Custom Software Development (own product, SaaS) – Remotely
Intro:
As the Head od Custom Software Development you will be responsible for custom software projects dedicated to global clients (mainly e-commerce). You will work with a team of 15 people spread across several locations, mainly in Europe and Poland.
Responsibilities:
- End to end delivery of custom software projects
- Managing and organizing work of a technical delivery team (incl. maintaining and evolving team’s software development lifecycle)
- Establishing and maintaining an effective cooperation between developers and other team members (PMs, designers, etc.)
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting team members
- Defining goals and supporting personal development
- Collaborating with other teams: customer success, product development, core engineering
- Identifying and recommending new technology solutions
Expectations (knowledge / experience / skills):
Knowledge and Experience:
- > 5 years of experience within software companies
- > 2 years of experience in leading a team of software engineers
- Outstanding project management skills and ability to delegate efficiently
- Technical background (software engineering)
- Great verbal and written communication (in English) to technical and non-technical audiences, stakeholders
- Focus on quality. Knowledge of quality management and quality assurance processes
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Passion for programming and startup products
- Excellent strategic thinking with outstanding leadership and organizational abilities
Nice to have:
- E-commerce market background
Technology stack:
- HTTP protocol, HTML, CSS (web applications)
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Vue.js
Education and Certification:
- University degree in the field of computer science
- Nice to have: additional education in the field of business administration or e-commerce or digital marketing
