C# / .NET | Product Company | International Team
100% Remote or Wroclaw
Full-time | Long-term cooperation | B2B preferred
Alpharec is an excellent recruitment agency operating in an international environment since 2006. Our clients represent the following industries: IT & Engineering, new technologies, production and professional services for business. We recruit programmers, engineers, experienced specialists, industry experts, sales masters and managers. Thanks to valuable experience, know-how and very hard work we deliver results to our clients, fantastic and admired employers.
This time, for one of our long-term Business Partners, an international software product company, we are recruiting for the position of::
.NET Developer
C# / .NET | Product Company | International Team
Build and develop reliable, scalable software used by global brands while working as part of an experienced international engineering team.
The company develops and maintains its own software products rather than delivering short-term external projects. Its platform supports customer-facing and operational systems used by international hospitality, retail and food service organisations.
You can work 100% remotely from Poland. The company also has an office in Wroclaw Old Town, so working from the office or in a hybrid model is also possible.
Candidates from Wroclaw and the surrounding area are especially welcome, but living in Wroclaw is not required.
About the company
Our client is an international software company developing products used by global brands.
The QA team works closely with developers and service teams, testing web applications, APIs and native system applications. Most day-to-day communication takes place in English.
The organisation supports remote work, international collaboration, continuous learning and the practical use of modern tools, including AI.
About the role
You will join an experienced development team working mainly with C# and .NET.
Depending on your experience, you may join at Junior or Mid-level.
The company currently works with both legacy and modern .NET technologies. .NET Framework 4.7.2 is still used in parts of the platform, while .NET 7 is already running in production across several components. Migration towards a current modern .NET stack is an important part of the technical roadmap.
The environment also includes SQL Server, REST APIs, Entity Framework, WinForms, WPF, Blazor Server and a modular backend API layer supporting multiple customer-facing products and integrations.
Your responsibilities
As a .NET Developer, you will:
- write clean, maintainable code,
- refactor and debug existing modules,
- design and document features throughout the software development lifecycle,
- model data and work with SQL Server,
- build and maintain REST APIs,
- integrate external systems and services,
- collaborate with developers, business analysts, testers and other specialists,
- review code and contribute to estimates, analysis and solution design,
- work with existing codebases and improve them incrementally,
- use AI tools as part of the everyday development workflow.
We’re looking for someone who has:
Strong Junior
For Junior candidates, we are looking for approximately 1–3 years of commercial software development experience.
You should have:

- practical understanding of Web API development,
- basic knowledge of Entity Framework,
- fundamentals of testing, debugging, logging and error handling,
- understanding of common design patterns,
- basic understanding of software architecture,
- ability to read and understand code written by other developers,
- basic knowledge and practical use of AI tools in software development.
Mid-level
For Mid-level candidates, we are looking for approximately 3–5 years of commercial experience and the ability to deliver features independently.
You should have:
- strong commercial experience with C# and .NET,
- solid experience designing, building, testing and maintaining REST APIs,
- confident daily use of Entity Framework,
- good practical knowledge of SQL Server,
- experience with asynchronous programming and async/await,
- unit and integration testing experience,
- practical understanding of design patterns and software architecture,
- working knowledge of concepts such as DDD, Vertical Slice, CQRS / MediatR,
- experience working with large or long-lived codebases,
- experience with code review,
- good Git and pull request discipline,
- strong spoken and written English,
- a mature and practical approach to using AI in software development.

Depending on your level of experience, some of the following will be an advantage:
- Azure Functions,
- Azure App Service,
- Application Insights,
- Azure Front Door,
- Key Vault,
- Azure DevOps,
- CI/CD and DevOps experience,
- messaging, queues and event-driven architecture,
- Blazor,

- performance profiling and production diagnostics,
- integration tests and E2E tests,
- experience with modularisation of large applications,
- more advanced AI-assisted development workflows.
AI in software development
AI is a normal part of the engineering workflow in this organisation.
Developers regularly use tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Claude Code, and in some cases Cursor and Gemini. The team is also developing more advanced ways of working with AI, including repository instructions, reusable workflows, agents and MCP integrations.
For Junior candidates, we expect basic understanding of AI / LLM tools and the ability to use them sensibly to:
- understand unfamiliar code,
- draft implementations,
- generate tests,
- support routine development tasks.
What matters most is the ability to verify the output, understand the code being submitted and take responsibility for the final result.
For Mid-level candidates, we expect a more mature and repeatable AI workflow, including good judgement about context, scope, verification and when not to use AI.
AI is also part of the recruitment process.
Why this opportunity?
This role may be particularly interesting if you are looking for a stable product environment rather than another temporary project.
You can:
- join an international software product company,
- work on systems used by global brands,

- work on a large and technically complex platform,
- take part in the migration from legacy .NET towards modern .NET,

The final rate will depend on your commercial experience, technical skills and overall fit for the role.
B2B is the preferred form of cooperation, but an employment contract or mandate contract is also possible. In those cases, financial terms will be agreed individually.
Recruitment process
The recruitment process has 3 stages.
Stage 1 – Interview, up to approx. 2 hours
A conversation-based technical interview covering:
- a short mutual introduction,
- .NET / C#,
- SQL,
- architecture and problem solving,
- your previous experience and work style,
- AI fundamentals and how you use AI in software development,
- English,
- time for your questions.
Stage 2 – Practical task, up to approx. 2 hours
A hands-on, screen-shared exercise based on code you did not write.
The task may include:
- reading and understanding an existing codebase,
- identifying problems before making changes,
- refactoring and debugging,
- handling edge cases,
- improving performance,
- writing clean, testable and maintainable code.
AI assistance is allowed and expected during this stage.
The goal is not to see whether AI can solve the task for you, but how you use it, evaluate its suggestions and remain in control of the final solution.
Stage 3 – Final conversation
A short meeting to confirm the details of the cooperation, contract and possible start date, and to answer any remaining questions.
After the process, the company consolidates feedback and makes a decision.
