This time, for our fantastic Business Partner (fast growing company operating globally and offering software solution for customer engagement strategies) we are recruiting for the position of:

.NET Developer (Azure / AWS) – Senior or Mid-level – Remotely 100% or Wroclaw, PL

Intro:

The primary responsibility is to lead the analysis, design, development and testing of reliable solutions for company’s cloud platform. This role has a strong focus on mentoring and supporting team members and advocating for quality software development practices across the business. You will report directly into the Engineering Manager. This position has close working relationship with all other members of their cross functional team. This includes other engineers, QA, DevOps, Business Analysis, Technical Lead and Delivery Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Build Management:
  • Demonstrate an ability to provide solutions, including developing documents, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts and write clear code
  • Lead the design phase of software projects by actively creating design plans, and assisting the tech leads in planning and creating standards for the project
  • Take responsibility for the implementation of projects, in conjunction with Tech Leads and Delivery Managers, which may include feature leadership and will usually require coding and testing
  • Software Development:
  • Oversee the engineering of software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas and following the software development lifecycle
  • Perform software development in accordance with the technologies, guidelines and standards prescribed by the company
  • Consult to understand and share knowledge of the SDLC
  • Review and critique technical specifications and test plans
  • Proactively raise awareness with senior project team members around inconsistencies in specifications and implementation, making sure the potential impact of any code refactoring is effectively communicated for QA test coverage
  • Ensure that tasks marked as complete have been developer tested to ensure that they meet all stated requirements
  • Fix bugs at the first attempt and seek clarification to resolve any ambiguity in specification or bug descriptions
  • Code Quality:
  • Deliver testable code that aligns to specification and including automated tests where possible
  • Make sure code adheres to SOLID principles
  • Participate in code reviews to identify opportunities for improved team output, ensuring compliance guidelines are met.
  • Apply defensive coding techniques whereby alternative and exception conditions are anticipated and handled in a manner that protects the integrity of the system and data
  • Ensure adequate unit test coverage to safely and confidently build features. Ensure code includes appropriate comments that captures intent and references specifications
  • Documentation:
  • Create high quality documentation (including technical design documents) that meets the needs and expectations of the stakeholders
  • Contribute to the continuous improvements of reference material by proactively filling gaps, correcting mistakes and resolving ambiguity
  • Team Work & Organisational Influence: 
  • Support & collaborate with fellow software engineers
  • Ability to engage with wider stakeholders to prioritise and complete tasks based on urgency and importance whilst providing clear and regular updates on progress
  • Mentor, coach & develop junior and mid-level engineers
  • Service Ownership:
  • Work with the team to drive service ownership to support cloud operations, ensuring availability and reliability. Where appropriate, be available to support as required

Key Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience at a software vendor in a development role
  • At least 4 years’ experience with C#.NET, microservices, .NET Core and GIT
  • Highly experienced designing, running and deploying distributed systems in a cloud provider (Azure/AWS), including RESTful APIs and cloud database technologies
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies
  • Associate or higher degree in a related field
  • Comfortable leading and mentoring others in the business
  • Good verbal and written communication in English
  • Preferred B2B contract with a self-employed person registered within the European Union

Education and Certification:

  • University degree in the field of computer science (or several years of commercial experience)
