QA Manual Test Engineer (Junior or Mid-level)
Software Quality | Product Company | International Team
100% Remote or Wroclaw
Full-time | Long-term cooperation | B2B preferred
Alpharec is an excellent recruitment agency operating in an international environment since 2006. Our clients represent the following industries: IT & Engineering, new technologies, production and professional services for business. We recruit programmers, engineers, experienced specialists, industry experts, sales masters and managers. Thanks to valuable experience, know-how and very hard work we deliver results to our clients, fantastic and admired employers.
This time, for one of our long-term Business Partners, an international software product company, we are recruiting for the position of::
QA Manual Test Engineer | Junior / Mid
Software Quality | Product Company | International Team
Help ensure the quality of software products used by global brands while developing your skills in an experienced international QA team.
The company develops and maintains its own software products and works with international customers. This is a long-term opportunity within a stable product organisation, not a short-term external project.
You can work 100% remotely from Poland. The company also has an office in Wroclaw Old Town, so working from the office or in a hybrid model is also possible.
Candidates from Wroclaw and the surrounding area are especially welcome, but living in Wroclaw is not required.
About the company
Our client is an international software company developing products used by global brands.
The QA team works closely with developers and service teams, testing web applications, APIs and native system applications. Most day-to-day communication takes place in English.
The organisation supports remote work, international collaboration, continuous learning and the practical use of modern tools, including AI.
About the role
You will join an established QA team responsible for the quality of software developed and maintained by the company.
Depending on your experience, you may join at Strong Junior or Mid-level.
The role combines hands-on manual testing with work on APIs, databases, documentation and test environments. For more experienced candidates there is also room to take broader ownership of testing activities and develop further towards automation.
Your responsibilities
As a QA Manual Test Engineer, you will:
- test web applications, APIs and native system applications,
- perform functional, regression and exploratory testing,
- create and maintain test cases,
- identify, report, analyse and verify defects,
- work with MS SQL for data verification,
- test APIs and services,
- create and maintain user and technical documentation,
- prepare test environments, including databases, IIS and custom setups,
- collaborate closely with testers, developers and service teams.
We’re looking for someone who has:
Strong Junior
We are looking for candidates with at least around 1 year of commercial experience in software testing who already understand the fundamentals of manual QA and want to develop further.
You should have:
- practical understanding of web applications and APIs,
- experience with manual software testing,
- ability to create test cases and report bugs clearly,
- good English, both spoken and written,
- strong attention to detail,
- curiosity and a problem-solving mindset,
- ability to work well in a team and ask questions when needed,
- willingness to learn new tools and develop your technical skills.
Mid-level
For Mid-level candidates, we are looking for around 2–4 years of commercial experience in software testing.
You should have:
- commercial experience in manual testing of web applications and APIs,
- practical experience with Postman and/or Swagger,
- good working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries and verifying data,
- experience with Chrome DevTools,
- ability to design test cases and clearly report defects,
- ability to create clear technical or user documentation,
- good spoken and written English,
- ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
It would be great if you also have
Depending on your level of experience, some of the following will be an advantage:
- ISTQB Foundation Level,
- experience with Playwright,
- basic JavaScript knowledge,
- experience with Jira,
- experience testing native system applications,
- experience with test automation,
- interest in developing further towards automation,
- experience working with technical documentation,
- familiarity with tools such as Claude or other AI assistants.
AI in QA
AI is actively used and encouraged within the organisation.
For Junior candidates, we do not expect advanced AI experience. What matters is basic awareness of AI and LLM tools, understanding that their output needs to be verified, and openness to learning how AI can support everyday QA work.
For Mid-level candidates, we are interested in people who understand how AI can support activities such as:
- generating and reviewing test cases,
- analysing logs,
- writing SQL queries,
- speeding up repetitive tasks.
Critical thinking remains essential. AI is treated as a tool that supports the tester, not as a replacement for judgement and verification.
Why this opportunity?
This is a good opportunity if you are looking for more than another short-term project.
You can:
- join a stable international software product company,
- work on software used by global brands,
- develop within an experienced QA team,
- work closely with developers and other technical specialists,
- strengthen your SQL and API testing skills,
- develop towards test automation,
- gain practical experience using AI tools in QA,
- use English in an international working environment,
- work fully remotely while retaining the option of using the Wroclaw office,
- build long-term experience within one product organisation.
What you’ll receive
- Full-time, long-term cooperation
- B2B contract preferred
- Employment contract or mandate contract also possible
- 100% remote work from Poland
- Optional work from the office in Wroclaw Old Town
- International working environment

Compensation
60–90 PLN + VAT / hour on B2B
The exact rate will depend on your experience, technical skills and overall fit for the role.

Recruitment process
The recruitment process has 3 stages and is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time.
Stage 1 – Interview, approx. 1 hour
An online conversation with members of the QA team.
The meeting includes:

A hands-on exercise based on realistic QA scenarios, including:
- testing a form,
- writing test cases,
- describing identified bugs,
- SQL queries and data verification.
The exact scope may vary slightly depending on the recruitment and candidate level.
Stage 3 – Final conversation
A short meeting to confirm the details of cooperation and answer any remaining questions.
After the process, the company consolidates feedback and makes a decision.
