This time, for our fantastic Business Partner (an international software company developing own products for global players) we are recruiting for the position of:
Senior RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER – Remotely 100%
Responsibilities:
- Developers will be part of the backend team and will be working on the APIs which form the core of the product.
- They will be expected to be able drive development on parts of code base by themselves and further work on scaling the solution on AWS and its security.
- The person will be responsible for engineering and implementing their code in a way that Continuous Delivery system can take advantage of.
- Later on, there will be opportunities to dabble in Artificial Intelligence powered features

- General technical excellence – understanding of how things work and able to work independently
- Knows Ruby really well and at least one other scripting language, preferably Python
- Knows AWS (or any other cloud) and how to scale things on the cloud
- Knows UNIX or Linux fundamentals and software security for UNIX server
- Knows Postgres, Active record and how to build a scalable Ruby on Rails deployment
- Familiar with configuration management tools
- Knowledge of distributed computing systems
- Very familiar with containerization and blue/green deployment
- Experience in team management or leading a team is an asset
- Experience and knowledge of Containerization is an asset
- Preferred B2B contract with a self-employed person registered within the European Union
Expectations (knowledge / experience / skills):
Knowledge and Experience:
- General technical excellence – understanding of how things work and able to work independently
- Knows another scripting language, AWS (or any other cloud) and how to scale things on the cloud
- Knows how to verify whether their code is optimal or not.
- Knows UNIX or Linux fundamentals and software security for UNIX server
- Familiar with configuration management tools and distributed systems
- Knows how to host a database
- Very familiar with containerization and blue/green deployment
- Knows how to build features from scratch
- Experience in team management or leading a team is an asset
- Experience and knowledge of containerization is an asset
- Speaking English fluently (speaking Polish is not required)
- IT background is an asset
- Very good verbal and written communication in English
Nice to have:
- Open to work as a self-employed person (B2B contract)
Education and Certification:
- University degree in the field of computer science
