This time, for our fantastic Business Partner (an international company – advanced digital marketing tools and strategies) we are recruiting for the position of:

SENIOR TEST ENGINEER (manual & automation) – Wroclaw, Remotely 80-100% 


The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for manual testing and test automation of features for sprints and documentation of test cases. Identification and triage of defects, co-ordination with Developers, Tech Leads and other team members and stakeholders. Mentor any junior testers in team and provide support where needed. The Senior Test Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager. This position is required to build working relationships with all internal staff, external stakeholders. 


  • Test Automation Framework and Governance:
  • Ensure that the test automation framework meets the requirements of key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the on-going delivery, maintenance and evolution of the Test Automation strategy and framework
  • Support QA Team members as they implement and execute test automation activities
  • QA Deliverables and Practices:
  • Develop and successfully execute detailed test plans, procedures and scenarios for unit, process, API, function, system integration, acceptance, and regression testing
  • Perform analysis of requirements and provide feedback regarding requirements testability
  • Document the successes and failures of all executed test procedures
  • Raise, triage and close defects when necessary
  • Provide support for any production incidents that warrant help from QA
  • Collaboration and Relationships:
  • Work closely with Tech Leads, developers, QA and other team members to thoroughly test requirements
  • Work on cross-team, cross -functional test automation initiatives as required
  • Provide regular, clear updates on risk, issues and opportunities to the Tech Lead, Delivery Manager and Quality Practice Lead
  • Knowledge and Documentation:
  • Create high quality documentation that meets the needs and expectations of testing and test automation stakeholders
  • Ensure adequate and up to date documentation available for use by internal teams and stakeholders

Expectations (knowledge / experience / skills):

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Five plus years in manual and automation testing
  • Strong testing fundamentals
  • Experience building and maintaining API automation tests
  • Working experience in any object-oriented programming language (C# is desirable, but Java is also fine)
  • Mobile application testing
  • Performance test experience desirable (using JMeter would be ideal)
  • Understanding of C# REST and SOAP web services
  • Agile working experience
  • Familiarity in TDD and BDD (Specflow desirable)
  • Mentor junior testers
  • Lead and drive testing outcomes for the team
  • Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
  • Great verbal and written communication (in English)

Education and Certification:

  • University degree in the field of computer science
