VP of ENGINEERING – Remotely 100%
Intro:
You will be one of key players in a department responsible for the development of a large product with millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- We are looking for an engineering leader to lead a cross-functional team of highly talented engineers. You will lead, direct and participate in all operations of the team, working closely with engineers, product owners and business teams.
- You will be familiar with all parts of our stack, including back-end, front-end, mobile, DevOps and analytics.
- You will lead engineers to build scalable and resilient platforms which deliver value to our customers.
- You are passionate about the product and knowledgeable about the awesome features which you deliver through an agile development process.
Expectations (knowledge / experience / skills):
Knowledge and Experience:
- Significant experience in software development and engineering, as well as experience managing engineering teams, a minimum of 5 years of experience, is expected.
- Strong technical skills in software development, architecture design, database management, and other related areas are necessary. Knowledge of relevant programming languages, such as PHP and JavaScript
- The ability to lead and motivate a team, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and make strategic decisions is important for this role. The Director of Engineering must also be able to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- An understanding of the industry, trends, and emerging technologies is necessary to guide the development.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills are critical for this role, as the Director of Engineering will need to work closely with other departments, such as product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure the company’s goals are met.
- Great verbal and written communication (in English and Ukrainian or Russian)
Nice to have:
- Previous experience working in B2B / B2C SaaS company
Education and Certification:
- University degree in the field of computer science
After employment:
- Full-time & long-term contract
- Salary: up to approx. 720.000 PLN + VAT per year (B2B contract). Final salary depends on your experience, skill set, and fit for the role.
